Scaling a consistent navigation foundation across seven products.

Inconsistent navigation patterns across a growing product portfolio were slowing decisions and creating unnecessary design and development work. I helped turn a repeated product problem into a scalable system.

My Role

Led the reusable navigation foundation, defining component behaviours, responsive patterns and design guidance in close collaboration with Engineering.

Result

One shared navigation foundation supporting seven products, improving consistency and making subsequent delivery more efficient.

Using research to evolve a complex product without compromising usability.

Research showed that the experience could become predictable. I designed a dynamic mid-round event that introduced variation in pacing and interaction while keeping the core loop familiar and clearly communicated.

My Role

Defined the Surge mechanic and end-to-end interaction flow, then worked with product, development and a dedicated artist to shape feedback, progression and onboarding.

Result

A clearly communicated concept for adding meaningful variation, plus the first reusable “How to play” system intended to support consistency and delivery across future titles.

POKERSTARS · THROWABLES · SOCIAL GAMEPLAY FEATURE

Designing new social interactions for a large-scale, regulated gaming product.

Online poker lacked many of the social moments players experience around a real table. I helped design Throwables, adding playful interactions that made games feel more expressive while remaining completely optional and unobtrusive.

My Role

Collaborated with the design team to shape the Throwables experience, contributing to interaction design, usability and player feedback. Later, I owned the creation and implementation of every throwable asset, ensuring a consistent visual style and seamless in-game experience.

Result

A feature that added personality and social interaction to PokerStars without affecting the core gameplay. Throwables gave players new ways to express themselves while remaining optional for those who preferred a traditional poker experience.
